Our History

The Rock Christian Center came into existence on January 3, 2010, after being birthed from WOMAN Outreach Ministries Inc. where the Pastor served as a faithful assistant to Prophetess Brannon for nearly twenty years. During this time, she also served as the assistant Music & Arts Director; Vacation Bible School Director; Sunday school teacher; and Assistant Praise Team leader; deaconess; as well as a part of the ministerial staff for Tabernacle of Refuge Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Ann O. McKibbins. After several confirmations of the calling to pastor, the Holy Spirit began to summon the Pastor Lipede to fulfill a long and unforgotten desire to pursue her graduate degree in Christian Ministry from Beulah Heights University where she earned a M.A. in Biblical Studies. "Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses it shall be established" (2 Cor. 13:1). In 2009, Pastor Lipede began serving as one of the National Youth Presidents of Celebration of Praise Ministries Inc. under the founder and Chief Apostle Bishop Q.S. Caldwell. Late November of 2009, all interested parties began to meet for several weeks at the Pastors' house to begin organizing the church that was soon to begin ministry in January the following year. The church first subleased from the Voices of Praise Church of God in Christ, on Rockbridge Road in Lithonia, GA. where Pastor Sinclair and his wife graciously opened their doors. Thus, the church held its first service on January 3, 2010 with a membership of thirty-six in attendance. Six months later, the church moved into the Mini Mall on Covington Highway in Lithonia, GA. Where it is a beacon in the community, where lives are being transformed and souls are getting saved. The Pastors' vision includes being a center where the people of God maybe feed, physically, spiritually, socially, and educationally.
